Zayden Franklin gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in April on Friday. He was unstoppable, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for La Junta: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 3-13 otherwise.

Franklin's effort led La Junta over Salida and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers are 8-1 against the Spartans going back to March of 2015, a lead they'll look to extend.
