Recap: Ridgeway Roadrunners vs. Southwind Jaguars
The Ridgeway Roadrunners lost against the Southwind Jaguars last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Ridgeway took a 53-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southwind. Ridgeway has not had much luck with Southwind recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southwind to victory, but perhaps none more so than Arianna Davis, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 16 rebounds. Davis continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Camille Sanders, who scored 19 points along with 6 rebounds.
Ridgeway's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Southwind, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgeway will take on Memphis East at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Memphis East focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday. As for Southwind, they will head out on the road to face off against Bartlett at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bartlett will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
