Football Recap: Bellmont Comes Up Short

Bellmont lost against Norwell back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Braves were dealt a 48-21 loss at the hands of the Knights. On the bright side, the 21- point effort marked the Braves' highest-scoring match to date.

Although Bellmont took the loss, they still got scores from Jason Lykins, Oliver Werling, and Corbin Omlor.

Bellmont didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Oliver Faurote. Another thorn in Norwell's side was Braxton Arriaga, who made 14 total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Bellmont's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Norwell, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Coming up, Bellmont will look to defend their home field on Friday against Huntington North at 7:00 p.m. As for Norwell, they will square off against New Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
