Basketball Game Preview: Lower Brule Sioux vs. Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves

The Lower Brule Sioux will head out to face off against the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lower Brule will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Saturday, Lower Brule didn't have too much trouble with Sisseton as they won 52-36.

Meanwhile, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte hadn't done well against Lakota Tech recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Cheyenne-Eagle Butte came out on top against Lakota Tech by a score of 64-57. The win was familiar territory for the Braves who have now won three matchups in a row.

Cheyenne-Eagle Butte's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Lower Brule, they have also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Lower Brule was able to grind out a solid win over Cheyenne-Eagle Butte in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, winning 73-61. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lower Brule since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
