Basketball Recap: Thales Academy Apex Titans vs. Neuse Christian Academy Lions
The Thales Academy Apex Titans had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 81-35 win over Neuse Christian Academy. With Thales Academy Apex ahead 42-16 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
It was another big night for Nathan Purvis, who scored 27 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last 13 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Rachmuth, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Thales Academy Apex's win bumped their record up to 10-22. As for Neuse Christian Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.
Thales Academy Apex will take on the Falcons at TBD on Thursday. Neuse Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
