Volleyball Recap: Bryan Station Defenders vs. Henry Clay Blue Devils

If Bryan Station was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Sayre on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Defenders came up short against the Henry Clay Blue Devils on Wednesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in April.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-3, 25-4.

Jonny Pineda was nothing short of spectacular for Henry Clay: he had 24 assists and ten aces. Those ten aces gave Pineda a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Pugh, who had four digs and three aces.

Bryan Station dropped their record down to 1-15 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Henry Clay, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-7.
