Basketball Recap: East Windsor Takes a Loss

East Windsor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 63-62 heartbreaker at the hands of the Valley Regional Warriors. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 19-15 in the first quarter.

Valley Regional's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rex Grabowski, who went 10-for-19 on his way to 21 points along with six boards and four blocks. Grabowski has become a key player for Valley Regional: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 20 points, but 5-11 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Troy, who went 5-for-11 en route to 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists.

East Windsor's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Valley Regional, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.

Looking ahead, East Windsor will face off against Granby Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Valley Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
