Basketball Recap: Redeemer Classical Find Success

Redeemer Classical won the last time they faced Massanutten Military Academy and Samuel Peters did his part to make sure it happened again. The Griffins blew past the Colonels 79-15 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Peters, who almost dropped a triple-double with 39 points, 15 rebounds, and nine assists. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 9.2 boards per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Kerns, who shot 86% from the field to rack up 13 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Redeemer Classical's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Massanutten Military Academy, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Redeemer Classical will look to defend their home court on Friday against Regents at 5:30 p.m. This will be the Griffins' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Massanutten Military Academy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Putnam Science Academy at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
