In what's become a running theme this season, the Morningside Academy Eagles gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They claimed a resounding 53-14 victory over Varsity Opponent at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Morningside Academy has managed all season.
Morningside Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Giuliana Bonasera, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Bonasera has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 16 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Emmilina Miller, who scored nine points along with seven steals and six assists.
Morningside Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Varsity Opponent, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 104-361.
