Volleyball Game Preview: De Beque Dragons vs. Rangely Panthers

De Beque hasn't had much luck against Rangely recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Dragons will square off against the Panthers at 1:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

De Beque lost 3-0 to Caprock Academy on Wednesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-11, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Rangely came up short against Cedaredge on Saturday and fell 3-1.

Rangely was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Cedaredge work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-16, 18-25, 26-24, 25-15.

Despite the defeat, Rangely saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Isabella Cox had nine digs and three aces. Cox has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last six times she's played.

Rangely's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for De Beque, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-20.

De Beque couldn't quite get it done against Rangely in their previous meeting back in August as they fell 2-0. Can the Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
