Basketball Recap: Harlem Mcginnis Key Part of a Team Effort in Patriots Win

Parkview Christian won the last time they faced Sterling and things went their way on Saturday too. The Parkview Christian Patriots came out on top against the Sterling Jets by a score of 59-49.

Parkview Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Harlem Mcginnis led the charge by going 5 of 11 on his way to 17 points in addition to six steals and five boards. Mcginnis also posted a block, marking his first of the season. Tairren Scott was another key player, putting up 17 points along with seven assists and four steals.

Colin Wambold and Brody Horstman certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Wambold posted 16 points, while Horstman scored 15 points. That's the most points Horstman has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Owen Uher, who earned eight points.

The victory got Parkview Christian back to even at 6-6. As for Sterling, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.

Parkview Christian has already played their next contest, a 69-44 defeat against Brownell Talbot on the 21st. As for Sterling, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-30 loss against Southern on the 24th.
