Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Landyn Roberts and Kato Muhammad Lead Wake Prep Academy to Victory

Wake Prep Academy owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. Everything went their way against the Louisburg Warriors as they made off with a 26-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Guardians, who have now won four contests by 26 points or more so far this season.

Leading Wake Prep Academy to victory were Kato Muhammad and Landyn Roberts. Muhammad picked up 101 receiving yards and one score, while Roberts rushed for 56 yards and one touchdown. Muhammad showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 55 yards.

Wake Prep Academy's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. The heavy lifting was done by Kendrick Crosby and Jackson Waddle, who racked up four sacks between them. Waddle has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last eight times he's played.

The victory made it two in a row for Wake Prep Academy and bumps their season record up to 6-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 21 points in those games. As for Louisburg, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-2.

As of now, neither Wake Prep Academy nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
