Football Recap: Landyn Roberts and Kato Muhammad Secure Win for Wake Prep Academy

Wake Prep Academy never let their opponents score on Friday. Everything went their way against the Louisburg Warriors as they made off with a 26-0 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Guardians just coasted through the last quarter.

Wake Prep Academy was led to victory by Kato Muhammad and Landyn Roberts. Muhammad picked up 101 receiving yards and one touchdown, while Roberts rushed for 56 yards and one TD. Muhammad was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 55 yards.

Wake Prep Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Myles Petersen, Muhammad, and Justin Battle picked up one apiece.

The victory made it two in a row for Wake Prep Academy and bumps their season record up to 6-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 21 points in those games. As for Louisburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-2.

Wake Prep Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 37-0 victory against Bartlett Yancey on the 7th. As for Louisburg, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Farmville Central at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Mikah Mcknight and BJ Gardner.
