Recap: Bradford Tornadoes vs. Pensacola Catholic Crusaders
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Bradford Tornadoes walked away with it. They pulled ahead with a 22-21 photo finish over the Crusaders. The victory was just business as usual for Bradford, who after 14 games remain undefeated this season.
Dae'jon ?6ixx? shanks was his usual excellent self, rushing for 101 yards, while also throwing for 85 yards and a touchdown.
Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nigel Nelson, who rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns.
Bradford's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-0. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.4 points. As for Pensacola Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.
Bradford will square off against Cocoa at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Cocoa will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak. Pensacola Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
