Softball Game Preview: Clark Eagles vs. Foreman Hornets

The Clark Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Foreman Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Clark has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Foreman will arrive with four straight victories.

Clark fell victim to Ogden International and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ogden International.

Six must be Foreman's lucky number: they beat Chicago Sullivan with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Hornets had just enough and edged out the Tigers 6-4.

Foreman's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Clark, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Clark couldn't quite get it done against Foreman in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 7-2. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
