The Stockbridge Tigers and the Baldwin Braves squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the Stockbridge Tigers had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a rough 66-39 loss at the hands of the Braves. Stockbridge's loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Stockbridge still got an impressive performance from Carrington Wilson, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Wilson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 18 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaidyn Chestnut-Hill, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Janaye Walker was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds for Baldwin. Another player making a difference was Kassidy Neal, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.
Stockbridge's loss dropped their record down to 23-7. As for Baldwin, the victory (which was their 23rd in a row) raised their record to 27-2.
Stockbridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Baldwin, they will take on Fayette County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Baldwin has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,629 points over their last 23 matchups.
