Softball Recap: Dawson-Bryant Hornets vs. South Point Pointers

Dawson-Bryant scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 14-1 margin over the South Point Pointers. The victory was familiar territory for Dawson-Bryant who now have three in a row.

Abbie Deeds made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Deeds has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Deeds was also big at the plate, going 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

In other batting news, Dawson-Bryant got a big performance out of Shay Collins, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Kassidy Travis, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
