Baseball Recap: Wilson Has No Trouble Against Liberty

Wilson barely beat Liberty the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Hurricanes on Saturday. Considering the Bulldogs have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Jack Gabel was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cole Lavin, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Wilson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty only posted a batting average of .241.

Wilson's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4.

Wilson wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-3 defeat against Governor Mifflin on the 28th. As for Liberty, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 14-4 victory against Easton Area on the 29th.
