Softball Recap: Monday's Victory Is West Muskingum's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

West Muskingum had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt New Lexington on Monday. The Tornadoes were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Panthers. The result was nothing new for the Tornadoes, who have now won eight matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Addy Antonetz was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had over her last 11 contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Lydiah Huey, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

West Muskingum is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for New Lexington, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-12.

West Muskingum will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
