Baseball Recap: Westminster Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Westminster was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They lost 10-2 to the Riverdale Ridge Ravens. The matchup marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Adrian Moreno made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Westminster now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Riverdale Ridge, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Coming up, Westminster will welcome Highlands Ranch at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.9 runs per game on average), something the Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Riverdale Ridge, they will venture away from home to face off against Boulder at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Ravens' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
