After a string of three wins, Sumter's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westwood Redhawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Westwood this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on April 1st.

Sumter's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Westwood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10.

Coming up, Sumter will challenge West Florence at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Sumter will need to watch out since West Florence have now posted at least four goals in their last seven games. As for Westwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Spring Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
