Basketball Recap: Navarre Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked Milton

After losing to Milton the last time they met, Navarre decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Navarre Raiders secured a 38-34 W over the Milton Panthers on Tuesday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Raiders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 325th, while the Panthers are ranked 158th).

Navarre found their leader in freshman Jaleah Jones, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 boards.

The win made it two in a row for Navarre and bumps their season record up to 7-9. As for Milton, they moved to 12-5 with that defeat, which also ended their ten-game winning streak.

Navarre will face off against Crestview at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Milton, they will square off against Pace at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
