Softball Recap: Rockledge Comes Up Short

If Rockledge was feeling good fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Titusville last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders lost 11-4 to the Blanchester Wildcats on Wednesday.

Rockledge saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amelia Cox, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Jaleeya Johnson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Rockledge has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That lines up perfectly with their 4-12 record this season. As for Blanchester, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Coming up, Rockledge will welcome Viera at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Blanchester, they will face off against Wilson at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
