Basketball Recap: Riverside Academy Comes Up Short

Riverside Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 58-32 to the E.D. White Cardinals. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 308th, while the Cardinals are ranked 111th).

Riverside Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for E.D. White, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.

Riverside Academy will host Ascension Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for E.D. White, they will challenge Vandebilt Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Vandebilt Catholic sitting on five straight victories and E.D. White on three.
