Volleyball Recap: Grantsville Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Grantsville had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Utah Military Academy - Hill Field Thunderbirds. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 on April 8th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-18, 25-15.

Hunter Powell paced Grantsville's offense, picking up 15 kills. Powell got some help from Isaac Nordgren and his 20 assists. Corbin Hislop and Joe Bailey kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

Grantsville's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-15. As for Utah Military Academy - Hill Field, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Grantsville is set to take on their familiar foe Layton Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Utah Military Academy - Hill Field will face off against rival Morgan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
