Softball Game Preview: North Gaston Wildcats vs. Highland Tech Rams

The North Gaston Wildcats will face off against the Highland Tech Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. North Gaston has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight losses, while Highland Tech will come in with four straight victories.

It was a proper cat-fight when North Gaston challenged Forestview on Friday. North Gaston fell 4-1 to Forestview.

North Gaston saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Postell, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Highland Tech). Everything went their way against Shelby on Friday as Highland Tech made off with a 25-4 win. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Highland Tech's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for North Gaston, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
