Volleyball Recap: Oregon Comes Up Short

Oregon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Milton Red Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

When it comes to explaining why Oregon lost, don't look at Alexis Fields. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs and two assists. Fields is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Oregon's defeat dropped their record down to 15-21. As for Milton, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season.

Oregon has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Beaver Dam on the 11th. As for Milton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against DeForest on the 11th.
