Volleyball Recap: Lovington Comes Up Short

Lovington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Santa Teresa Desert Warriors. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Desert Warriors when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-15, 25-11.

Lovington's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Santa Teresa, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Lovington will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Clovis at 6:00 p.m. As for Santa Teresa, they will head out to take on Loretto at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
