After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Belleville West finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Belleville East Lancers. The Maroons' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Addison Geluck was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Belleville West's loss dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Belleville East, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-5.

Coming up, Belleville West will challenge Highland at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Belleville East, they will face off against Freeburg at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
