Lick-Wilmerding hadn't done well against Stuart Hall recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Lick-Wilmerding Tigers skirted past the Stuart Hall Knights 71-69. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Knights are ranked 576th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lick-Wilmerding pushed their record up to 19-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Stuart Hall, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-15.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Tigers face off against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Lick-Wilmerding knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully San Domenico likes a good challenge.
