Football Recap: Salinas Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Salinas lost against Soquel back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cowboys lost to the Knights on the road by a 41-24 margin.

Sam Whelan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Soquel, throwing for 259 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also punching in one score on the ground. Kelton Forbus helped Whelan out on the ground, rushing for 101 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries.

Salinas' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Soquel, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Salinas will host Hollister at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Soquel, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Alisal at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
