Soccer Recap: Village Tech Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Village Tech can now relate to. They fell just short of the Pinkston Vikings by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Viper Squid can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 652nd, while the Vikings are ranked 316th).

Village Tech's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Pinkston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-1-2 record this season.

Village Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pinkston, they will take on Sunnyvale on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Sunnyvale comes in on seven and Pinkston on four.
