Northwood's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Jordan-Matthews Jets. The win was some much needed relief for the Chargers as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

Northwood was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 16-25, 25-21, 25-23.

Shae Leighton paced Northwood's offense, picking up 15 kills. Leighton got some help from Emma Dorsey and her 20 assists. Leighton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 11 aces.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-13. As for Jordan-Matthews, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.
