Baseball Recap: Sioux Central Comes Up Short

Sioux Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 5-1 to the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union Royals. If the Rebels were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to the Royals when the teams met back in July of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sioux Central's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Sioux Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-1 loss against Spencer on the 3rd. Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union has also already played their next match (against Harris-Lake Park), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
