Softball Game Preview: T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets vs. Pendleton Bulldogs

The T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets will take on the Pendleton Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in T.L. Hanna's favor as the squad sits on eight straight wins at home while Pendleton has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

T.L. Hanna easily dispatched Mauldin on Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Yellow Jackets fell just short of Hillcrest by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Yellow Jackets have suffered since March 8th.

Emma Williams 2027 put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two RBI.

Williams 2027 wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Hanna Davis 2028, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. Another was Kylie Wilson 2026, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

West-Oak hit Pendleton with a four-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs came up short against the Warriors, falling 12-2.

Pendleton's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for T.L. Hanna, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 15-3.
