Soccer Game Preview: Highlands Ranch vs. ThunderRidge

Highlands Ranch is 0-9 against ThunderRidge since April of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Falcons will challenge the Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Highlands Ranch took on Heritage on Tuesday. The Falcons lost 6-1 to the Eagles. While losing is never fun, Highlands Ranch can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while Heritage are ranked tenth).

Meanwhile, ThunderRidge didn't have quite enough to beat Mountain Vista on Tuesday and fell 2-1.

The Grizzlies' goal came courtesy of Madi Wright, who's now up to two this season.

Highlands Ranch is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4-3. As for ThunderRidge, they now have a losing record of 1-2-3.

Highlands Ranch might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from ThunderRidge in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
