Volleyball Recap: East Bernard Starts Season with Defeat at Home

East Bernard unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Schulenburg Shorthorns on Tuesday, falling 3-0. If the Brahmas were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Shorthorns when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While East Bernard was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Schulenburg's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-20, 25-21.

Coming up, East Bernard will be taking part in a tournament against Burton at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Schulenburg, they will take on El Campo in a tournament on Thursday.
