Basketball Recap: Shadow Ridge Piles Up the Points Against Rancho

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shadow Ridge). Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 64-36 stomp they got against the Rancho Rams. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2021.

Despite the loss, Rancho still got an impressive performance from Taylor Dagons, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 boards. Dagons has been hot, having posted 12 or more boards the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brooklynn Ceccarelli, who posted six points and eight rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Shadow Ridge and bumps their season record up to 5-3. As for Rancho, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Shadow Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-46 defeat against Basic on the 28th. As for Rancho, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 64-35 loss against Somerset Academy Losee on the 28th.
