Volleyball Recap: Calvary Baptist Takes a Loss

Calvary Baptist was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Chadwick Dolphins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dolphins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in February.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21, 25-14.

Calvary Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Chadwick, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvary Baptist will host New Roads at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars are facing the Jaguars at the right time seeing as the Jaguars are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Chadwick, they will be playing at home against Rio Hondo Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Kares will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Dolphins surely won't give up without a fight.
