Basketball Recap: University School of Jackson Find Success

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask University School of Jackson). They slipped by the Huntingdon Mustangs 66-65 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bruins considering their 26-point performance the match before.

University School of Jackson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mills Terry out in front who went 7 for 15 on his way to 20 points. Terry's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Wallace Driver was another key player, going 6 for 10 on his way to 14 points.

University School of Jackson was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win made it two in a row for University School of Jackson and bumps their season record up to 6-3. As for Huntingdon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

University School of Jackson and Southland College Prep will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st. University School of Jackson has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests. Huntingdon will take on Clarksburg in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
