Baseball Recap: Bayshore Christian Wins Going Away Against East Lawrence

Bayshore Christian got themselves on the board against East Lawrence on Tuesday, but East Lawrence never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over East Lawrence. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Bayshore Christian.

Ryland Gates looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February.

At the plate, Jack Malone was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Ben Whiteside also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Bayshore Christian's record is now 8-11. As for East Lawrence, they dropped their record down to 2-16 with the loss, which was their 23rd straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Bayshore Christian will look to defend their home field on Friday against Clarke County at 3:30 p.m. As for East Lawrence, they will head out to challenge Foley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games Foley has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
