Basketball Recap: Canadian Comes Up Short

Canadian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 64-40 to the Pittsburg Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 463rd, while the Panthers are ranked 189th).

Canadian's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Pittsburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Canadian will face off against Indianola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Canadian is facing Indianola at the right time seeing as Indianola is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Pittsburg, they will head out to challenge Kiowa at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
