Baseball Recap: Three Straight Home Victories for Polytech

Polytech won against Sussex Academy last Thursday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Panthers beat the Seahawks by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 10-9. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Seahawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Polytech's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for Sussex Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Polytech will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Delmarva Christian at 4:15 p.m. The Royals' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Sussex Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Conrad Science at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
