Basketball Recap: Grandville Comes Up Short

Grandville lost against Rockford back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Grandville Bulldogs had to suffer through a 65-24 loss at the hands of the Rockford Rams. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Rams are ranked first).

This is the second loss in a row for Grandville and nudges their season record down to 10-8. As for Rockford, their win was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-1.

Looking ahead, Grandville will host Lakeview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeview will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Grandville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rockford, they will venture away from home to challenge Frankenmuth at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rockford knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Frankenmuth likes a good challenge.
