It was a proper cat-fight when Lutheran faced off against The Academy on Friday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wildcats. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lutheran to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kate Wilson, who had eight assists and four aces. Another player making a difference was Sadie Stephens, who had five digs and four aces.

They weren't the only good server: Lutheran was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for The Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
