Armwood beats Plant City for their fourth straight win

Recap: Armwood Hawks vs. Plant City Raiders

The Armwood Hawks had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They blew past Plant City 43-9 on the road. The result was nothing new for Armwood, who have now won five matches by 34 points or more so far this season.

Girard Pringle continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 219 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Pringle's longest rush was for an incredible 79 yards. Another player making a difference was Rhys Brush, who threw for 233 yards and two touchdowns on only 19 passes.

When it comes to explaining why Plant City lost, one person who can't be blamed is Chris Denson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 91 yards on only eight carries, and also threw for 16 yards and a touchdown.

Armwood's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Plant City, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Armwood will take on Tampa Bay Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Tampa Bay Tech is ranked 44th, while Armwood is ranked 40th). As for Plant City, they have the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Strawberry Crest at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th.
