Football Recap: North Rockland Takes a Loss

North Rockland was the 17-14 winner over John Jay when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders fell 20-7 to the Patriots on Friday. The matchup marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Chase Perini threw for 68 yards on nine of 14 attempts. On the ground, Christopher Norman rushed for 29 yards.

John Jay can attribute much of their success to Logan Lawrence, who rushed for 39 yards and two scores, and also threw for 160 yards and one TD. Those 39 rushing yards gave Lawrence a new career-high.

North Rockland suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 3-3. As for John Jay, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

North Rockland wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 40-6 win against Suffern on the 17th. As for John Jay, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 20-14 victory against Mamaroneck on the 17th.
