Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Maywood Academy). They were the clear victors by a 21-4 margin over the George Washington Prep Generals on Friday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Nighthawks with their most commanding win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Maywood Academy and bumps their season record up to 4-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for George Washington Prep, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-3.

Coming up, Maywood Academy will host Marquez at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Marquez will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Maywood Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for George Washington Prep, they will square off against Dymally at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. George Washington Prep is facing Dymally at the right time seeing as Dymally is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
