Baseball Recap: Grace Academy's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Grace Academy had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 10-7 win over the Concordia Cardinals on Monday.

Ethan Yassa made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, earning two runs and three stolen bases.

Yassa wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ajax McLendon, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs.

Grace Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-8-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Concordia, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13-1.

Coming up, Grace Academy will challenge Stephenville FAITH at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. Grace Academy's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. Concordia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
