Softball Recap: King's Christian Knights vs. Gloucester County Christian Conquerors

King's Christian came out on top against Gloucester County Christian on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Knights took their match against the Conquerors 9-6. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Bridet Levandoski was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off 13 hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

In other batting news, Ada PIckard was a standout: she went a perfect 5-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Kenleigh Welsh also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.
